Specifications
The IBM 1747 System Storage EXP2500 Express storage enclosures enable flexible, low-cost storage capacity expansion of IBM System x and BladeCenter servers to address growing storage needs. The EXP2500 is available in two models - the EXP2512 and EXP2524. Both models deliver next generation 6 Gbps SAS disk storage technology in a compact 2U, 19-inch rack-mount enclosure. The EXP2500 connects directly to selected System x servers using the IBM ServeRAID M5025 SAS/SATA Controller or IBM ServeRAID M5120 SAS/SATA Controller. It also connects directly to selected BladeCenter servers using the IBM BladeCenter SAS Connectivity Module and IBM ServeRAID MR10ie (CIOv) Controller. RAID technology and other advanced functions are provided through the ServeRAID controller.
